The report Artificial Intelligence in Finance: Recommendations for its responsible use was published by Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) in November 2021.
Based on two years of work carried out in collaboration with Marc-Antoine Dilhac and his team at Algora Lab, in partnership with OBVIA, CIRANO and Polytechnique Montréal, the report describes the ethical specificities of the financial sector and makes recommendations based on the principles of the Montréal Declaration and on citizen consultation activities.
The report emphasises the need for transparency, accountability, strong governance, data quality, risk assessment and management, training, and client protection in the use of AI in finance. It encourages financial actors to take an ethical and responsible approach when using AI, to minimise potential risks and ensure its beneficial use.
