The Guide to the Principles of Responsible Innovation and Artificial Intelligence in the Healthcare Sector (in French only), launched in March 2022 by the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), is a tool to guide developers and users of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the healthcare field. The guide is based on the ten ethical principles of the Montréal Declaration, to which it adds an eleventh: the Principle of Knowledge Generation and Sharing.
The guide provides practical advice to help developers and users of AI technologies in healthcare to integrate these principles into their practices. It also provides concrete examples of how these principles can be applied in practice. The guide is intended for healthcare professionals, technology developers, policy makers and regulators in the healthcare field.
